RTD’s new Belleview Call-n-Ride service starts January 23 | News

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) and the South I-25 Urban Corridor Transportation Management Association in the Denver Tech Center area will celebrate the beginning of its new Belleview Call-n-Ride service on Monday, January 23, 2012. The public is invited to the Ribbon Cutting ceremony Thursday, January 26, at 10 a.m. at the Ulster/Tufts Transfer Center located at 4730 South Ulster Street.
The Belleview Call-n-Ride is a curb-to-curb transportation service available within a designated area bounded by I-225 on the north, I-25 on the west, Yosemite Street on the east and Orchard Road to the south.
The Call-n-Ride telephone number to make reservations is 720-641-5022. Calls to request travel can be made at least one hour or up to two weeks in advance. Trips can also be booked online at rtd-denver.com. First-time users must phone in their initial reservation. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fare is the normal RTD Local cash fare of $2.25 one-way, with a discounted fare available for qualified seniors, individuals with disabilities, students and Medicare recipients of $1.10. Connections to RTD’s light rail service can be made at the Belleview Station. Weekday rush-hour service at the Belleview Station is every 30 minutes. Scheduled stops are made at the Belleview Station every 60 minutes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No reservation is needed. Stops at the Orchard Station are by reservation only. Service is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Riders also need to call to cancel reservations.
